The Problem:How do you improve the digital performance of a leading hotel chain during the pandemic?

We were approached by the brand with the mandate of improving their social presence, increasing digital performance, and growing the brand awareness. The biggest problem however was 2020 itself. Lockdowns across the world and bans on all travel led to a huge fall in customers across the globe. Our mandate was to ensure that the brand did not lose recognition while also improving their digital performance.

The Solution:As the severity of the Covid-19 crisis became clear, people stopped travelling, we knew that the brand might find itself at the centre of the storm. It was time to get things going.

We focused on highlighting their safety procedures, finding ways to keep everybody safe and keeping customers happy! Our communication took on a new level of significance with a greater focus on safety and security. We created new outdoor advertisement and digital campaigns to share updates on what the hotel was doing to prepare for the guests’ arrival. Through the use of targeted digital ads, we increased the brand’s outreach by 90% across all platforms while also maintaining a growth of 55% across social media platforms.

After a successful initial ‘re-discovery’ campaign for DoubleTree by Hilton, we undertook campaigns to increase their digital performance that improved their performance by 150% across all relevant metrics and ensured that even during the pandemic, the brand’s overall performance and profits still grew!
